GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — This week's featured adoptable pets from the Kent County Animal Shelter are two good boys looking for their forever homes.

The shelter described Mister Mork, a 3-year-old American Staffordshire terrier, as "a gem" who is "easy to love."

He likes to sniff around and explore on his walks. He's not overly reactive nor particularly high-energy. He knows how to sit when offered a treat.

The shelter said he would be a "terrific addition for a very lucky family."

Or you can choose St. Brown, a 5-year-old American Staffordshire terrier with "soulful eyes" that will "melt your heart." He came to the shelter as a stray and was never claimed, so now he's up for adoption.

He knows how to sit, shake and lay down. He is food-motivated, so he should take well to learning more commands, the shelter said.

He likes long walks and playing with stuffed animals.

Both Mister Mork and St. Brown are neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.

The shelter is moving to a temporary space while it undergoes renovations. To encourage adoptions during the relocation, dog adoptions are discounted to $50 for the duration. The shelter is also looking for foster families to help out through March.
