GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — This week’s featured adoptable pets from the Kent County Animal Shelter are two young dogs ready for their forever home.
Dante is a 4-year-old, 80-pound American Staffordshire terrier mix. Despite his size, he's a "big softie" who is always smiling, the shelter said in an email to News 8.
"Dapper Dante is one of the MOST handsome dudes around," the shelter wrote. "This amazing superhero mutt wears his tuxedo wherever he goes and always has a big smile on his face. Just one gaze into his big brown eyes and you can see that this big ol' boy just craves affection and attention from his people."

He's active and enjoys playing catch and toting around his toys. He will also calm down for some cuddles.
The other adoptable pet is Marina, a 3-year-old American Staffordshire terrier mix. The shelter describes her as a "certified cuddle expert."
Marina enjoys sniffing while taking a walk and laying down in big, fluffy beds. She is currently in a foster home with a Kent County Animal Shelter volunteer, and is very smart and friendly.

"Her intelligence shines through in everything she does, making her both engaging and delightful to spend time with," the shelter wrote.
The two dogs are ready for their forever home. Both are spayed or neutered, are up-to-date on their vaccinations and are microchipped.
Starting next week, the shelter is moving to a temporary space while it undergoes renovations. To encourage adoptions during the relocation, dog adoptions are discounted to $50 for the duration. The shelter is also looking for foster families to help out through March.
