GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — This week’s featured adoptable pet from the Kent County Animal Shelter is the shelter's newest long-term shelter dog.
Millie is a 5-year-old American Staffordshire terrier that has been at the shelter for over a year. She is currently in a foster home and is doing great.
This active girl enjoys hikes and going for a run or jog. If she must, she'll go for a walk. Once she's gotten her energy, she loves snuggling up in a dog bed or on a lap and playing with toys.
The shelter said that she is not a fan of the shelter and cannot stay forever.
"...Her time in foster is great for her but we cannot guarantee a forever foster. We are desperately seeking a forever HOME for this girl who has been in the system for just much too long," the shelter said in an email to News 8.
