GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — This week’s featured adoptable pets from the Kent County Animal Shelter are two energetic dogs that are waiting for their fur-ever homes.
Millie is a 5-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier. She is the shelter's 'longest-term shelter dog' and has been waiting for her forever home for over a year. She is currently in a foster home and is enjoying snuggling up on a dog bed or in a lap while watching TV.
The shelter said she is an active dog that loves to go on hikes, for a run or on a walk. Once she has burned off some energy, she loves to hang out and play with some toys inside.
"Millie is NOT a fan of the shelter and cannot stay here forever, her time in foster is great for her but we cannot guarantee a forever foster. We are desperately seeking a forever HOME for this girl who has been in the system for just much too long," the shelter said in an email to News 8.
Wendy is a 2-year-old German Shepherd. She loves to play and meet new people. The shelter said this social butterfly is ready to find her family and would do best in a home with a lot of company and room to play.
