GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — This week’s featured adoptable dogs from the Kent County Animal Shelter are two lovable dogs.
Stan is a curious 5-year-old American Staffordshire terrier that is looking for a home all to himself. A shelter volunteer who recently took him on a walk said he is a gentle giant.
"I was sooo shocked at how well he took treats! I don’t think he’s reactive to anything! We had fun walking in the rain, and he got to see soo many birds, and loved to just stare at trees," the volunteer told the shelter.
Luna is an outgoing 2-year-old Labrador Retriever mix. She enjoys going for walks and playing. She's been at the shelter for two months, and the shelter said she is starting to get stressed.
For the month of July, the shelter has reduced its dog adoption fee to $50, which includes spay and neuter surgery, core age-group vaccinations, a microchip and a dog license.
