KCAS Pet of the Week: Robin and Drummer

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — This week’s featured adoptable pets from the Kent County Animal Shelter are two lovable dogs.

Robin is a 5-month-old Mastiff, Can Corso/mixed breed that is estimated to be between 80 and 90 pounds when full grown. This sweet, mellow boy is still a puppy. The shelter said he loves to play, chew on toys and run around.

"He came in with another dog. He came in with an adult Mastiff mix who we named Batman. They are co-housed together and he seems to do really well," Angela Hollinshead, the shelter's director, said.

Drummer is a 2-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier that loves to play with other dogs. The shelter said he walks great on the leash and when you sit down for a break, he turns into a "giant lapdog and wants to snuggle right up to you."

For the month of July, the shelter has reduced its dog adoption fee to $50, which includes spay and neuter surgery, core age-group vaccinations, a microchip and a dog license.
