GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — This week’s featured adoptable pet from the Kent County Animal Shelter is a dog that has been at the shelter for over six months.
Millie is a 4-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier that is eager to find her forever home where she is the only pet. The shelter said she can be a little shy when meeting someone for the first time but opens up if you offer her a few treats.
"You'll be best friends in no time," the shelter said in an email to News 8.
When Millie came to the shelter, she was a nervous dog, but slowly gained confidence. She loves to snuggle, play with toys and sniff out treats in a kiddie pool full of toys. The shelter said she has a suite away from the rest of the kennels because they are too stressful for her.
