GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — This week's featured adoptable pets from the Kent County Animal Shelter are a couch potato lap dog and an older guy with "good manners."
Sausage is a 7-year-old Chihuahua mix who's very social. He loves to greet everyone he sees. In the News 8 studio Friday, he happily accepted pets and rolled over for belly scratches. He's also a couch potato, so he would do fine in a household that's not very active.

His buddy is Eggs, a 3-year-old schnauzer mix. The two came to the shelter together as strays.
Or you can pick Ford, an American Staffordshire terrier who arrived at the shelter as a stray in November. The shelter says he "would love to curl up with you on your couch every night."
Since he's a little older at age 7, he has "good manners," the shelter said. He knows basic commands and is house trained.

Through March 16, all dog adoptions at the shelter, including a license, are $50. For more information on adopting any pet from KCAS, visit the organization's website or call 616.632.7300.
