GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — If you’re looking for a quiet companion, meet this week’s pets of the week.

First up is Harvey – a 1-year-old American Staffordshire terrier mix. Harvey came to the Kent County Animal Shelter as a stray. He’s still a little quiet and shy, so he’s looking for a patient owner who can help build his confidence. Shelter workers say Harvey loves to cuddle and would fair best in a home with someone who can give him that TLC.

Next is Scooby Doo, who was surrendered to KCAS by his previous owner, who couldn’t keep him or his brother. Scooby Doo is about 8 years old, making him about middle age, since smaller dogs tend to live longer. Shelter workers say he’s a great little dog – very mellow and quiet. He is friendly with everyone he meets and gets along well with other dogs.
