GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — This week’s featured adoptable pets from the Kent County Animal Shelter are two lovable pups.

Zepp is a 2-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier who is around 78 pounds. The shelter describes him as a gentle soul with a heart full of love.

“Zepp’s sweetness is his superpower. He doesn't demand attention, but his gentle presence is a constant reminder of unconditional love,” the shelter said.

West is a 4-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier who is around 66 pounds. The shelter said he has been there for months now and is ready to meet his new forever family. He really enjoys going on adventures.

“West is a perfect gentleman. He was calm, cool, and collected,” the shelter said about West when he went on a field trip with volunteers. “West seemed to enjoy the hustle and bustle and wasn't fazed one bit. He also did not react when other dogs were nearby.”

For the month of July, the shelter has reduced its dog adoption fee to $50, which includes spay and neuter surgery, core age-group vaccinations, a microchip and a dog license.
