GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — This week’s pets of the week are two hounds whose only Christmas wish is to find a forever home.

First, meet Charlie. He’s a 4-year-old hound who was surrendered to the Kent County Animal Shelter by his owner, who could no longer keep him.
Charlie is a sweet, happy, quiet and smart pup who is trained to shake and lie down.

Next is Buddy. He’s a 2-year-old beagle who was also surrendered by an owner who couldn’t keep him any longer.
Buddy is a happy-go-lucky dog who can live comfortably with cats and children of all ages. His fur is growing back in after a flea allergy, but KCAS workers say he is healthy.
