GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Despite a very successful Empty The Shelters event last weekend, there are still plenty of animals looking for a home, including this week’s pets of the week.
First meet Midnight, a 2-year-old Staffordshire terrier mix whose owners could no longer care for her. Midnight loves walks and meeting new people. She would be great in an active home.
Shelter workers say Midnight will be spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and licensed when adopted.

Next up is Cookie. Cookie is about 3 years old and was found as a stray. She’s very sweet, knows a couple of tricks and would make a great pet for pretty much anyone. Cookie is spayed and microchipped.

A total of 30 animals at the Kent County Animal Shelter were adopted during the free adoption event on Oct. 22 sponsored by the Bissell Pet Foundation. However, the shelter is almost full again.
