First, meet Nena. She’s a 2-year-old shepherd mix. Workers found Nena abandoned in a field. Despite the unfortunate situation she came from, Nena is calm, well-mannered, and loves attention.
Nena has an ear infection and will need a dedicated owner willing to continue her treatment.

Next is Delilah, who is about 3 years old. Delilah loves car rides, hugs and kisses. She is a great pet to make memories with, as she is brimming with personality.
Delilah was heartworm positive but just finished her treatment, she she’s as healthy as can be.
Both Nena and Delilah will be spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and come with a license when adopted.
They’re among the cats and dogs available for free adoption Saturday during KCAS’ Empty the Shelter event. The one-day event on Oct. 22 is sponsored by the BISSELL Pet Foundation.
