GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — This week’s featured adoptable pets from the Kent County Animal Shelter are two well-mannered dogs.
The first is Gus, a 3-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier. At 60 pounds, he is a curious mind and loves to lay on the couch, the shelter said. He enjoys walks and riding in the car as well.
Gus has been living in a foster home and loves to run around and meet new people.
"Everybody who meets him loves him and he loves everyone who he meets," his foster said.
He knows how to sit and is potty trained, the shelter said.
Or you can take home the easy-going Lenny, a 5-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier. At around 52 pounds, the shelter says he loves to explore and likes riding in the car.
Lenny is easy to walk and likes to take his time exploring his surroundings, the shelter said. He is also well-mannered dog. He will wait for you to grab his leash before getting out of the car and was unbothered by fast moving traffic on a walk, the shelter said.

“Lenny is a joy to be around and his love for exploring on walks makes it easy for you to appreciate your time with him,” a shelter volunteer said.
