GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — This week’s featured adoptable pets from the Kent County Animal Shelter are two adorable dogs that are waiting for their fur-ever homes.
Ballot is a 3-year-old American Staffordshire terrier. He loves to meet new people and play with other dogs, including his best friend Bouquet. He knows how to sit and "will try his best to 'hold it' to go potty outside whenever possible," the shelter said in an email to News 8. The shelter believes he would do well in a multi-dog home.
The shelter said that Ballot is "beyond stressed" in his kennel. He recently went for a sleepover to escape the environment. The volunteer told the shelter that he was calm and loved to play with stuffed toys and tug-of-war. He loves to cuddle and relax on the couch, but he also enjoyed a fast-paced walk.
Bouquet is a 2-year-old American Staffordshire terrier. She is friends with Ballot and enjoys playing with other dogs. The shelter believes she would do well in a multi-dog home.
With support from the Bissell Pet Foundation, the shelter is discounting dog adoptions to $50 through Dec. 17.
